Douglas Edward Kenimer

Douglas Edward Kenimer, age 59 of Lula, passed away on Monday, His Birthday, October 15, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 5:30 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Scott Ledbetter will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 10:30 am till 5:30 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home.


Mr. Kenimer was born October 15, 1953 in Gainesville, Georgia to George W. Kenimer and Willie Nell Helton Kenimer. He served 19 years in the U.S. Navy and was employed with Generation Homes until he became disabled. Douglas was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Nell Helton Kenimer.


Mr. Kenimer is survived by his son, Dusty Kenimer of Pensacola, Florida, granddaughter, Dakota Kenimer of Pensacola, Florida, father, George W. Kenimer of Lula, sisters & brothers-in-law, Brenda & Lamar Collins of Gainesville and Jennie & Steve Forrester of Lula, sisters, Connie Kenimer of Lula, Judy Hayes of Gainesville and Debbie Martin of Lula, brother & sister-in-law, Henry & Susan Kenimer of Jefferson and brother, Johnny Kenimer of Lula.
