Frances (Moore) Nalley

Mrs. Frances (Moore) Nalley, age 91, formerly of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 in Nashville, TN where she had been residing for the past 5 years.

Mrs. Nalley was born February 27, 1921 in Gainesville, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Hubert Richard Moore and Ethel (Roper) Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. William Benjamin Nalley.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, November 9, 2012 at Alta Vista Cemetery. The Reverend Bruce Fields will officiate.

She graduated from Gainesville High School and Brenau College, where she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and Mu Phi Epsilon, an honorary music fraternity. Frances Nalley was a member of the First Baptist Church, former member of the Gainesville Hall County Junior League, the Chattahoochee Country Club, Laurel Garden Club and Gainesville Study Club. She was the office manager of Lakeview Academy from 1970 to 1978, and later was affiliated with Gainesville Cablevision.

She is survived by her three daughters, Cathy Nalley Totis (Tony) of Atlanta, GA; Nancy Elizabeth Nalley of Gainesville, GA; Sally Nalley Hoffman (Tony) of Nashville, TN; six grandchildren, Nalley Totis Tabor (Alan), Ben Totis, Will and Matt Hancock, Jordan and Anna Claire Hoffman, two great-grandchildren, Stella and Brando Tabor and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in honor of Mrs. Frances (Moore) Nalley, to a charity of your choice.
