Edwin Cecil Roney

Edwin Cecil Roney, age 87 of Dacula, Georgia died Friday, November 9, 2012 after a brief illness.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Pastor Robert Truelove will officiate. Interment will follow in Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens, Buford. The Family will receive friends Sunday from 1 to 3 at the funeral home.

Mr. Roney was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Roney.

He is survived by his children, David and Romelia Roney, Cherry Log, Elaine and Terry Buck, Raleigh, NC, Cyndi and Tom Vander Ven, Dacula; 9 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; Sister and Brother In-law, Sarah and Nick McBrayer, AL; Brothers and Sisters In-law, Earl and Aggie Roney, FL, Wilburn and Sue Roney, AL, James Ray and Ethel Roney, AL; Brother , Bob Roney, AL.

Mr. Roney was born in Ashford, AL and lived in the metro Atlanta area the past 10 years. He was a retired Dept. Manager with Eli Lilly & Co., a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Heritage Reform Baptist Church.
