Bertha Lou Gilstrap Smith

Bertha Lou Gilstrap Smith, 90, of Gainesville passed away Saturday November 10, 2012. She was blessed to pass away at her home.

She retired from Chicopee Cotton Mill of 32 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Edgar (Jim) Smith, father Noah Gilstrap, mother Callie Edge Gilstrap, sisters Annie Mae Gilstrap Saine, Jo Nell Gilstrap Whitfield, Iceie Bell Gilstrap Nix, brothers Gerald & Pratt Gilstrap.

She is survived by sister and brother-in-law Jessie & James Hanes, daughters and son-in-laws Susie & Benny Cook, Judy Smith, Jimmy & Tommy Jones, grandchildren Sharon Cook Spiva , Stacy Cook & Tony Bennett, Shannon Cook & David Vandiver, Leigh & Tim Thomas, T.J. Jones, great grandchildren Crystal Fricks Hoopaugh, Jessica Bennett & Jake Haynes, Benji Bennett, Tonya Bennett, Tristan Spiva, Danielle Thomas, Shalyn Vandiver, Shaylie Vandiver, great great grandchildren Chase Mize, Jayden Hoopaugh, Konnor Haynes, Skylar Haynes.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 13, 2012 at 1:00pm from the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Marshal Dale officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday November 12, 2012 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
