Robert "Bob" Peter Winkel

Robert "Bob" Peter Winkel of Cleveland, formerly of Lula, Georgia went home to be with Lord December 3rd, 2012. He passed away at North East Georgia Medical Center after fighting a brief illness.

Bob was born and raised in Minnesota and moved to Georgia in 1979, making Georgia his home. While in Minnesota he was employed by the City of West St. Paul, and in Georgia he worked for Cornett Bridge in Gainesville for 20 years; later retiring and working part time for Circle M for 7 more years. Robert was a very strong believer and was of Catholic faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Loggins, sister, Lois Nolton and parents, Oliver and Adeline Winkel. Following his wife's death, he lived 3 years with his son, Michael Loggins, then went to live a few years back in Minnesota with his daughter, Jessica Starr. Later moving back to Georgia with his daughter, Diana Adams for the last 6 years of his life.

Survivors include daughters and sons, Debby Clark of Pine City, Minnesota, Robin LeBarrow of Phoenix, Arizona, Susie Anaya of Hastings, Minnesota, Mary Almeida of Romeville, Illinois, Jessica Starr of Prior Lake, Minnesota, Angela Judge of Prescott, Wisconsin, Robert Winkel of Forest Lake, Minnesota, Robert Loggins of Lula, Curtis Loggins of Lula and Michael Loggins of Lula, daughters and sons-in-law, Diana & John Adams of Cleveland, Tina Loggins & Danny Parsons of Lula. Bob had 31 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 and Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 6 - 8 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home of Gainesville for viewings prior to the funeral services. The funeral services will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Michael Catholic Church of Gainesville and then also at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home, with entombment to follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
