Carl Ernest Wimpy

Mr. Carl Ernest Wimpy, age 73, of Dahlonega, GA died Monday, December 17, 2012 at Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega.

Carl was a native of Lumpkin County and a Graduate of Lumpkin County High School. He was a retired self-employed Bookkeeper and of the Baptist Faith.

Carl was the son of the late Ernest Franklin Wimpy and Mae Pruitt Wimpy, and was also preceded in death by brother, Henley Wimpy and numerous Aunts and Uncles.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie M. Wimpy, Dahlonega, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Carl E. "Buck" Wimpy II and Lisa Wimpy, Dahlonega, GA; son, Clay Wimpy and his fiancé, Kirsten Weaver, Dahlonega, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy F. Wimpy, Griffin, GA, Loy "Bud" and Annie Wimpy, Dahlonega, GA, Allen and Elaine Wimpy, Griffin, GA, Melvin Wimpy, Dahlonega, GA, Jeff Wimpy, Gainesville, GA, Jackie Wimpy, Cleveland, GA, and Wiley Wimpy, Dahlonega, GA; sister, Marjorie Mason, Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Tony and Amanda Hodges, Taylor Ross Wimpy, Christopher Chase Wimpy, Aiden Garrett Wimpy, and Summer Brooke Wimpy; and great grandchildren, Kenlie and Peyton Hodges, and Baby Boy Wimpy who will be born in February. A number of other relatives also survive.

A Private Service is scheduled for Carl at 1 PM on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel.
