Tommy Pinion

Tommy Pinion, 81, of Dawsonville passed away Monday December 17, 2012 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following a sudden illness.

Born August 11, 1931 to the late John and Ruby Pinion, he had been a resident of Dawsonville his entire life. Mr. Pinion attended Winds of Peace and Mill Creek Baptist Church. A proud union carpenter, he helped construct many high rise buildings around Atlanta. He worked for J.A. Jones Construction and Flaglers Construction Company until his retirement. Mr. Pinion was also preceded in death by his brother, Cliff Pinion.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Annie Lou Pinion, Dawsonville; daughter and son in law, Joan and Ralph Todd, Sandersville, GA; son and daughter in law, Danny and Penny Pinion, Dawsonville; sisters and brother in law, Margaret Porter, Jonesboro, Louise Bradford, Dawsonville, Eloise Bramblett, Dawsonville, Edith Gee, Dawsonville, Kathleen Goswick, Dawsonville, Susie and Harold McGahee, Marietta; grandchildren, Marlon and Susan Gibbs, Dewayne and Christy Pinion, Phillip Pinion, Christopher Pinion; 3 great grandchildren; a number of nieces nephews and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday December 20, 2012 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tommy Panter and Rev. Tony Allison will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dawsonville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 9 and Wednesday from 3 until 9 at the funeral home.
