Dorothy Whidby Earl

Mrs. Dorothy Whidby Earl, age 86, of Sugar Hill, GA went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 30, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Clifford Buman Earl; sons, Butch Parker and Richard Parker; and grandson, Dwayne Smith. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Jack Smith, Buford, GA, Ann and Bill Blankenship, Sugar Hill, GA, Sue and Raymond Dixon, Dawsonville, GA and Jan and Joey Boatright, Auburn, GA; sons and daughter-in-law, Cliff and Janice Earl, Flowery Branch, GA and Gary Parker; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Earl was born March 19, 1926 in Flowery Branch, GA. She was a 1944 graduate of Flowery Branch High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Old Suwanee Baptist Church in Buford, GA and she was an active Sunday School Teacher, an Awana Leader for twenty-eight years and a VBS Teacher for forty-seven years.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. at Old Suwanee Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Old Suwanee Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
