At 12:31 am on December 31st 2012, all of Heaven rejoiced as the angels received one of their own when God called home Jeanette Hughes.

If you worked or lived in the Gainesville area over the last 30 years, you may have met this precious little lady whose encounter most likely made your day and possibly left an indelible mark on your life. She never met a stranger and made it her daily mission that whenever she would cross your path, she would find something beautiful about you to compliment. Her smile and her laughter were infectious as she carried it with her everywhere she went, generously sharing it with anyone she would meet. Without a second thought she would give you a hug, and maybe even a kiss on the cheek. She could lift you out of your worst day or celebrate your successes as if they were her own, leaving a lasting impression and making you feel like a lifelong friend.
