Moses L. Armour

Obituary Date: Friday, January 4, 2013
Moses Lythanul Armour, age 68 of Alto, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Hall County on September 18, 1944, he was the son of the late Taft and Leler Bell Dodd Armour. Mr. Armour was a former logger and attended Lula Congregational Holiness Church. He also enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his parents, Moses was also preceded in death by his son, Kinney Armour.

Surviving are wife, Mary Frank "Frankie" Armour of Alto; sons and daughters-in-law, Bradley & Shirl Armour of Maysville and Shane & Connie Armour of Gillsville; sister, Rachel Almand of Lula; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary M. & Freeman Oliver of Lula and Ann & Rev. Robert Magness of Alto; brother, David Armour of Alto; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Jacob & Mattie Jean Armour and Joseph & Doris Armour all of Alto and Daniel & Lou Nell Armour of Lula; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services are 2:00 pm Monday, January 7, 2013, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart. Interment will follow in Living Mission United Methodist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 pm Saturday and 2-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday.
