Rosa Pearl Bell Stallworth Willis

Obituary Date: Sunday, January 6, 2013

Rosa Pearl Bell Stallworth Willis departed this life on January 6, 2013 after a lengthy illness.

Born on March 31, 1930 in Danville, Georgia to the late Reuben Bennett and Daisy Bond Bell, Pearl had celebrated 82 birthdays. A devout Christian, she was a member for many years of the Greenforest Baptist Church and then the Pinecrest Presbyterian Church. She spent her childhood years in Hogansville, GA and her adult years in Decatur, Stone Mountain, Big Canoe, GA, and in Flat Rock, NC. She was a resident of the Canton Nursing Center during the final months of her life, and her family wishes to thank the caring staff there. Pearl's family and friends will surely miss her: she was a kind and loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, nurse, and friend.

Her survivors include: Linda Stallworth (Max) Williams, daughter; Jessie Bell (Bobby) Gore, sister; Laura Williams (Scott) Novak, granddaughter; Max Brenton (Ginger) Williams, grandson; Samantha Lin Novak, great-granddaughter; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was pre-deceased by James Owen Stallworth, Jr., son; John G. Willis, Sr., second husband; James O. Stallworth, Sr., first husband; three sisters; three brothers; her mother; and her father

A private (immediate family only) memorial service will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, it was Pearl's wishes that memorial contributions be made to the general fund of the Pinecrest Presbyterian Church, 1790 Greenville Hwy, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
