Janet Sue Dixon Holloway Woodward

Janet Sue Dixon Holloway Woodward, age 77, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 following an extended illness.

Janet was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County, and was retired from Burlington Industries Mohawk Plant. She lived several years in Mississippi where she enjoyed fishing, but spent the last years of her life in Dahlonega. She enjoyed her life with her children and grandchildren, and was of the Baptist Faith.

Mrs. Woodward was the daughter of the late Zeb Dixon and Carrie Harkins Dixon Hollifield Albertson, and was also preceded in death by her husbands, Lewis Holloway and Gene Woodward; sons, Danny and Stanley Holloway; grandson, Tim Holloway; sisters, Ann Akins and Betty Ashmore; and brothers, James, Billy, and Micky Dixon.

She is survived by son, Tony Holloway, Dahlonega, GA, Terry and Kay Holloway, Doucett, TX; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Doug Garrett, and Beverly and Ricky Davis, all of Dahlonega, GA; brother, Jerald Dixon, Alabama; sister, Shelby Franklin, Harrison, MI, and special friend, Lugene Brady. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 2 PM until 4 PM on Saturday, January 19.
