Lera Massey Vaughn

Mrs. Lera Massey Vaughn, age 97, of Commerce, GA died Friday,January 18, 2013 at Northridge Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Vaughn was born in Commerce to the late Ernest Ervin and Ruby Chandler Massey. She was a member of Blacks Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Oxford. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vaughn was preceded in death by her husband, Early Vaughn.

Mrs. Vaughn is survived by her son, Jimmy Roberts (Jean) of Commerce; granddaughters, Janet Roberts of Athens and Mitzi Shirley of Commerce; and great-granddaughter, Madelyn Shirley of Commerce.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Sunday, January 20 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 6 to 8 PM.
