Greg J. Thornton

Mr. Greg J. Thornton, age 57, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Grady Mae Thornton; and sister, Jean Thornton. He is survived by his wife of eleven years, Loretta Abernathy Thornton, Lawrenceville, GA; sons and daughter-in-law, Gregory Thornton, Buford, GA, Jeremy and Amber Thornton, Snellville, GA and Ronnie White, Buford, GA; three grandchildren, Shania Thornton, Isaiah Thornton and Mercy Thornton; sisters and brother-in-law, Linda and Charlie Thomas, Buford, GA, Wanda Thornton and Lynn Thornton; brother and sister-in-law, Pete and Jessica Thornton, Buford, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Thornton was born November 21, 1955 in Buford, GA. He was a 1974 graduate of Buford High School in Buford, GA. He worked for Brownlee's Furniture in Lawrenceville, GA for eleven years. He was a member and deacon of Faith Free Full Gospel Church in Buford, GA.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with remains placed in state at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Randy Stamper officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA.
