Estelle Pearl Cooper, 88, of Gainesville passed away Saturday February 2, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 6, 2013 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Malcom, Rev. Hoyt Skelton, and Rev. Scott Lance officiating. Interment will follow in Revival Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday and Tuesday from 2pm-4pm & 6pm-9pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cooper was born July 7, 1924 in Gainesville to the late Ernest and Tirsey Ella Truelove Ellis. She was retired from Cornet Carpet and a member of Revival Baptist Church. Mrs. Cooper is preceded in death by her 3 brothers Ewell, Homer, and Howell Ellis, sister Ernestine Roberts.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Mary Ann & Donald Kirby of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law Lamar & Clara Cooper of Gillsville, grandchildren Anita Buice, Michael Kirby, Tracy Kirby, Lynn Williams, Kathy Jarrard, Jeff Cooper, Steven Cooper, 15 great grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law Inez & Curtis Crane of Flowery Branch, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dean and Estelle Cooper of Chestnut Mountain and special friend & caretaker Margaret Finch, sister-in-laws Julie Ellis, and Peggy Ellis.
