Dorothy Beaver Addis

Funeral services for Dorothy Beaver Addis, age 76, of Clarkesville will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 2:00 PM from the Macedonia Baptist Church. Rev. Leon Miller and Rev. Raymond Payne will officiate with interment to follow the service in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Addis died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Hartwell Health Care.

Born on March 19, 1936 in Blairsville, Georgia, Mrs. Addis was the daughter of the late Mullard and Ruth Cook Beaver. She was retired from Habersham Medical Center where she was a Physical Therapist with 28 years of loyal service. Mrs. Addis was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Addis is preceded in death by her husband James Edward Addis, brothers Robert Beaver and Ralph Beaver and sister Doris Tanner.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Melba and James Mize of Clarkesville sister- in-law Frances Beaver of Blairsville, grandchildren and spouse Amanda and Drew Anderson of Alto and Melissia and Tim Jones of Clarkesville, and great grandchildren Andy Anderson, Dillon Matias, and McKenzie Matias.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
