Mr. Verden Rufus Nalley age 72 of Suwanee passed away on Wednesday February 06, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday February 09, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Bellton Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Drewery Loggins and Reverend Mark Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday February 08, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday February 09, 2013 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Nalley was born on April 17, 1940 to the late Andrew Nalley and Mattie Lewallen Nalley. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator employed by Nalley Pipe Line for over 30 years, after there he worked with DSI Contracting. He was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Carolyn Thomas Nalley, and step-daughter, Nancy Mabry.
Mr. Nalley is survived by his wife, Carol Martin Nalley of Suwanee, son, Andy Nalley of Lafayette, Ga, son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Ronya Nalley of Greensboro, Ga, brother and sister-in-law, Edwin and Barbara Nalley of Clarkesville, sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Buddy Callis of Cleveland, sister, Lois Parr of Jefferson, 5 Grandchildren, 1 Great- Grandchild, and a Number of Nieces and Nephews.
