Grady Clifford Etris

Grady Clifford Etris, age 87 of Dahlonega, passed away Friday, February 08, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Etris was born June 8, 1925 in Cleveland to the late James Conard and Minerva Nora Helton Etris. He was a truck driver and a member of Town Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Etris was a Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Jarrard Etris, daughter Hazel Garrison, son Larry James Etris, brothers and sisters, Clyde, Ray, Vernell, Carlton and Aldean.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Dottie and Tommy Holloway, Cleveland; Susie and Allen Webb, Dahlonega; sons and daughters-in-law, Don Etris and Evelyn, Billy and Janice Etris, all of Dahlonega; Wayne and Bonnie Etris, Gainesville; Stanley and Julie Etris, Cleveland; son-in-law, Tommy Garrison, Cleveland; sister, Imogene Etris Voyles, Winder; brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter and Doris Etris, Cleveland; Bill and Louise Etris, Dahlonega; 30 grandchildren,54 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday February 10, 2013 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Roger Dunagan and the Rev. Phillip Robinson will officiate. Interment will be in Town Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
