William Timothy "Tim" Reed

William Timothy "Tim" Reed, age 58 of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 at his residence following a brief illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Phil Carpenter and Reverend David Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 11, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Reed was born December 11, 1954 in Gainesville, GA to the late William Jack and Betty Jean Butler Reed. He was retired from General Motors as a Union Rep and Inspector. He was a graduate of Johnson High School and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Mitchell Reed.

Mr. Reed is survived by his daughter, Jessica Reed of Gainesville; grandson, Liam Martin of Gainesville; sister, Kelly Reed Faulkner of Gainesville and several nieces and nephews.
