Rowe Truman Hart

Rowe Truman Hart, age 89 of Alto, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013, at Habersham County Medical Center.

Born in Banks County on November 1, 1923, he was a son of the late Will T. and Josephine Dodd Hart. Mr. Hart was retired as a carpenter from Worley Construction and was of the Holiness faith. In his spare time, he enjoyed cattle farming.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Nathaniel, Archie and Lionel Hart; sisters, Winnie Echols, Lucille Ferguson and Marcelle Hart.
Survivors include wife of 63 years, Lurlene Brady Hart; daughter, Joan Hart Hix; brothers, Grady Hart of Alto and Kenneth Hart of Cornelia; sisters, Ruth Underwood of Alto and Hazel Crumley of Forest Park.

Funeral services are 11:00 am Monday, February 18, 2013, at Yonah Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. John Umberhant and Rev. Lester Haynes officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Charles Meckler officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 pm Saturday and 2-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday.
