Betty Jean Ash Black

Betty Jean Ash Black, 77, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, Georgia passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from an extended illness. Born on August 7, 1935, she was the epitome of a good wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She worked tirelessly for years beside her husband as they built P&B Petroleum from the ground up. She passes on her legacy of honesty, integrity and a superior work ethic to her children and grandchildren, and will be remembered for her selflessness and good will towards others.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Wilford and Naomi Turner Ash; her brothers W.A. Ash, Jr., Neal and Roy Ash; and her sister Vernell Ash Martin.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lamar "Pinky" Black; her children Kathy (Merv) Pilgrim and Libby Black Sosebee; her grandchildren Carly (Clay) Johnson, Zack (Shaun) Sosebee, Luke Pilgrim, and Chaz Sosebee; her great-grandson
