Don Eaton, age 74, of Flowery Branch, Ga., passed away Feb. 26, 2013. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI. on Nov. 21, 1938.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Baue Eaton, Two Daughters, Julie Cox and Amy Hanson, his grandchildren, Sydney Downing, Joe Cox and Alex Hanson, as well as his great granddaughter Sophie Downing. Don was greatly loved by his family and the Royal Lakes community and his legendary cooking will be very much missed. He was a lifelong sailor and his family will have great memories of his life with him on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. Don was known as Pop-Pop to his grandkids and loved cooking and entertaining at the family pool, which he called "Club Eaton". Don was able to spend two months sailing the Atlantic during the Fall/Winter of 2010. This was on Don's bucket list and something he always wanted to do and we are glad he was able to do this. It was one of the highlights of his life.
The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Friday March 1, 2013 from 4-7 p.m.
