Ophelia W. Ragan

Obituary Date: Wednesday, March 6, 2013

Mrs. Ophelia Winters Ragan, 89, of Gainesville passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 following a period of declining health.



A lifelong resident of Hall County, she was the daughter of the late George and Sarah Jane Chambers Winters. She was a housewife dedicated to her family. She was a member of New Holland Baptist Church.



In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ragan is preceded in death by her husband, Odis Ragan, and brother, Clifford Winters.



She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Davis of Cleveland; granddaughter and husband, Kellie and Nathan Shewbert; grandson and wife, Jeremy and Amanda Davis; grandson, Cody Davis all of Cleveland; great grandchildren, Summer Goss, Bryson Shewbert, Rylee Davis, Lana Davis all of Cleveland.



Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Doug Merck will officiate. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.



The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospice, 2150 Limestone Pkwy., Gainesville, Ga 30501.
