Bonnie Lee Harrison

Bonnie Lee Harrison, age 80, of Buford, Georgia (Hall County) passed away March 23, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Doris Head Harrison of Morganton, Georgia, and his parents, Robert and Nellie Harrison of Buford.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Pirkle Harrison, Daughters and Sons In-law: Sherry and Rev. Earl Pirkle, Susan and Glenn Pirkle, all from Buford; Grandchildren: Joel and Jenn Pirkle, Jennifer and Rainer Amrein, James and Amanda Pirkle, Jill and Jones Mathis, Hannah Pirkle, Mary Elizabeth Pirkle. 12 Great-grandchildren; Sisters: Grace Parker and Dot Head of Buford; Brother In-Law: Earl Head. Extended family: Paul and Susan Pirkle and Family, Diane Connell and Family, Carol and Doug Goin and Family, and an unlimited number of other family and friends.

Bonnie was born and raised in Hall County and a lifelong member of Friendship Baptist Church. He graduated from Flowery Branch High School and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid carpenter, farmer and employee of various businesses such as General Motors, E.J. Holland, operator of Crossroads Grocery Store, and Robert Bell Construction. He was plowing by the age of 9 and still enjoying his work at age 80. He was a kind, caring and gentle man who will be missed by all.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 12 Noon at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Earl Pirkle, Rev. James McNeal, Rev. Charles Pirkle will officiate. Burial will follow at Old Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Family will receive Friends Monday, March 25, 2013 from 2 to 8pm at the funeral home.
