Joanne Noe Kangas

Joanne Noe Steen Kangas, age 80 of Cleveland, passed away Monday, April 08, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Kangas was born February 14, 1933 in Knoxville, TN to the late Floyd and Daisy Shimpaugh Noe. She was a homemaker and attended St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW Post 7807 in Hiawassee, GA. Mrs. Kangas was preceded in death by her husbands, James Steen, Raymond Kangas, 1 brother and 4 sisters.

Survivors include his sons and daughters, James Alan and Rebecca Steen, Port Richey, FL; Richard G. and Rita Steen, Cleveland, GA; daughter, Terri Lynn Locke, Daytona Beach, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Ann and Philip Frishe, New Port Richey, FL; 2 sisters; 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Memorial services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Friday, April 12, 2013 at Barrett Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM prior to the service.
