Emily S. Morgan

Emily S. Morgan, 84, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday April 7, 2013 at Halcyon Hospice following a short illness.

Born February 22, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Emory and Gladys Tyler, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 30 years having moved from Atlanta. Mrs. Morgan was a homemaker who possessed a passion for fishing and gardening. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Terry McCarter Fowler; her second husband of 62 years, W. Frank Morgan, Sr.; and a son, W. Frank Morgan, Jr.

Surviving are her daughters and son in law, Harriett and Lamar Strickland, Marietta, Joan Whitehead, Cartersville; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 10, 2013 at 11 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Payne will officiate. Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
