William Jason Nix, Sr.

Mr. William Jason Nix, Sr., 92 of Dawsonville (Forsyth County) died Thursday April 11, 2013 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A lifelong resident of Forsyth County, Mr. Nix was the son of the late A.E. and Annie Porter Nix. He was retired from Dollar Carburetor and Electric where he had worked for many years. Mr. Nix was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Dawson County.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Josephine Whitmire Nix, Dawsonville; son and daughter-in-law, Will and Janet Nix, Dawsonville; daughters and sons-in-law, Caroline and David Williamson, Jefferson; Betty Jo "B.J." and Chris Holman, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Hannah Nix, Dawsonville; Jason Williamson, Atlanta; Amanda Holman and Garrett Holman, both of Dawsonville; sisters and brother-in-law; Flostine and Lester Duncan, Gainesville; Grace Wilson, Dawsonville; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 13, 2013 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bottoms will officiate. Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Dawson County with full military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday April 12, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. and again Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
