Larry Stewart

Larry Stewart, age 65 of Demorest, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013, at Habersham Medical Center.

Born on August 16, 1947, in Madison, GA he was a son of the late Frank and Ola House Stewart. Mr. Stewart had worked with Stub Church Paving and was of the Baptist faith. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include wife, Cathy Brady Stewart of Demorest; daughter and son-in-law, Cassie & Dennis Keller of Alto; sons and daughters-in-law, Frankie & Donna Stewart of Alto, Tim & Kim Stewart of Toccoa and Benji & Felicia Stewart of Baldwin; 13 special grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Danny and Dennis Stewart both of Watkinsville; sisters, Gail Martin of Bethlehem, GA and Patsy Stewart of Athens; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 11:00 am Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Ted Armour and Rev. Hillman Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Baptist Church cemetery with full military honors provided by the Grant Reeves V.F.W. Post #7720, the Habersham County American Legion Post #84, the Rabun County D.A.V. Chapter #15 and the Georgia National Guard.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Tuesday.
