L.D. Seitz

L.D. Seitz, 80, of Dahlonega passed away Sunday April 21, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness.

Born May 1, 1932 in Lumpkin County to the late John and Pearl Seitz, Mr. Seitz lived a large part of his life in Forsyth County before moving back to Dahlonega for the last 7 years. He was also preceded in death by brothers, C.J. Seitz, Charlie Seitz, Johnny Seitz, C.F. Seitz, Dean Seitz, sisters, Edna Seabolt, Lizzie Belle Bearden.

Surviving are his wife of over 60 years, Mary Thomason Seitz, Dahlonega; sons and daughter in law, Tommy Seitz, Robert and Michelle Seitz, Cumming; daughters and sons in law, Becky and Roger Townley, Cumming, Linda and Morris Hughes, Dawsonville, Vanessa and Lamar Day, Dawsonville; brother, Carlton Seitz, Dahlonega; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday April 23, 2013 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Brody Hughes, Rev. Johnathan Seitz, Rev. Austin Seitz, and Rev. Roger Townley will officiate. Interment will follow in the Antioch Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 11 until 9 at the funeral home.
