Vera Sasser

Vera Sasser, 83, of Dawsonville passed away Monday May 6, 2013 following a period of declining health.

Born January 14, 1930 in Dayton, Tennessee to the late Floyd and Eula Mae Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Sasser maintained a house on Lake Lanier since the 1950's and made their permanent residence here since 1994. Mrs. Sasser was a homemaker and member of the Dawsonville United Methodist Church. Vera was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed all sports and music.

Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Harry Sasser, Dawsonville; sons, Mark Sasser, Buford, Craig Sasser, Key West, FL; sister, Louise Smith, Gainesville; brother, Melvin Robinson, Griffin; grandchildren, Kristi Sasser, April Browning, Daniel Sasser, Ethan Sasser, Nathan Sasser; great grandchildren, Kember Browning, Grace Browning and Georgia Lee Sasser.

Funeral services will be held Sunday May 12, 2013 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Sean B. Smith will officiate. Entombment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 12 noon until the service hour.
