Hugh Duckett

Mr. Hugh Duckett age 92 of Gainesville passed away on Wednesday May 08, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday May 11, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend David Matthews will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday May 11, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.


Mr. Duckett was born on April 08, 1921 in Oakwood, Georgia to the late Fannie Hudgens Duckett. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and was retired from Chicopee. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Ruby Faye Murphy Duckett.


He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Duckett of Gainesville, daughter, Kay Duckett Akins of Lawrenceville, daughter and son-in-law, Ruby Lynn Denney and Mark of Little Rock, Arkansas, 3 grandchildren, William and Christy Aiken, and Tara Schuler, 6 Great- Grandchildren.
