Horace M. Majors, Sr.

Horace M. Majors, Sr., age 75 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 14, 2013 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.


Mr. Majors was born November 11, 1937 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Homer Majors and Fay Tullis Majors. He was retired from Norfolk-Southern Railroad as an Engineer and attended Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church.


Mr. Majors is survived by his wife, Jean Majors of Gainesville, sons, Horace M. Majors, Jr. of Gainesville, Edward Majors of Gainesville, Michael Majors of Macon, Georgia and Mark Majors of Nashville, Tennessee, daughter, Dianne McCracken of Warner Robbins, Georgia, brothers, Wayne Majors of Dawsonville and Billy Majors of Colorado, sisters, Frances Nolan of Colorado and Louise Garner of Mableton, Georgia and 11 grandchildren.
