Cleta Mae Fortner

Obituary Date: Monday, June 24, 2013
Mrs. Cleta Mae Fortner, age 83, of Dahlonega, GA, died Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Mrs. Fortner was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Cleta loved her husband and children very much. She was a very gracious and caring lady who loved the Lord and her family. She spent her life helping others. She would visit and stay with those that were sick to take care of them family and friends alike. She was always cooking food and taking to them in their homes and to those at the funeral home. If you visited her she would make sure you did not leave hungry. Many came to her to have poison conjured, warts removed, blood stopped, and fire from burns cooled. She loved everyone and was there for them. The Book of Proverbs Chapter 31 and verses 10-31 describes her very well. She will be missed by everyone. We know she is now rejoicing in Heaven with those who went before.

Cleta was the daughter of the late Luther and Vesta Berry Gaddis and was also preceded in death by her husband, Edd Fortner; son, Kenneth Fortner; brothers, Odell Gaddis Sr., Guy Gaddis, and Carl Gaddis ;sisters, Callie Ridley, Lena Ridley, and Irene Kay.
