Jimmy Dave Deaton

Jimmy Dave Deaton, age 79 of Flowery Branch, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Venter following a brief illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 5, 2013 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Ken Oslen will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Deaton was born January 17, 1934 in Robbinsville, North Carolina to the late John Deaton and Nancy Jane Edwards Deaton. He served in the U. S. Air Force and retired from Chicopee Textile Mill. Jimmy was of the Baptist Faith.

Mr. Deaton is survived by his wife, Mary Deaton of Alto, daughter, Tina Deaton of Demore4st, son, Jimmy Dave Deaton, Jr. of Alto, sons and daughters-in-law, Randal & Ellene Deaton and Richard and Patty Deaton, all of Flowery Branch, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, brothers, Sammy Deaton of Lawrenceville and James Deaton of North Carolina.
