William Vincent Reynolds, 84, died July 9, 2013 at his home in Lawrenceville, GA. He was born on November 24, 1928 in Dublin, Ireland. He was the son of the late Patrick and Brigid Phelan Reynolds. After attending Catholic elementary and secondary schools, William attended the Royal College of Surgeons, in Dublin, Ireland. Dr. Reynolds furthered his medical training at Cambridge University in England and McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He practiced medicine in Alberta, Canada, Missoula, Montana, Cooperstown, New York and Central Valley, New York. During his years of practicing medicine William conducted innovative research, patented inventions, and published extensively in major medical journals. William loved to write, to paint, and to swim. He was an inspired storyteller and an enthusiastic fan of Notre Dame football. He will be greatly missed.
William is survived by seven children, Madeleine R. Bolz (Paul), Pittsford, NY, Jane R. Boles, (Joseph), St. Augustine, FL, Liam P. Reynolds, (Kate), Springfield, MA, Stephanie R. Nolt, (Frank), Buford, GA, Anna Fisher, (Mark), Winston-Salem, NC, Michele R Perry, Sarah R VanOverwalle, (Peter), 17 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. William is preceded in death by his parents, his 8 siblings and his grandson Conor W. Reynolds. He was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Catholic Church of St. Monica with Father Jack Durkin serving as Celebrant. The family will receive friends at the church.
