Evalou Kelley

Mrs. Evalou Smith Kelley, 87, of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 following a brief illness.



Born on August 29, 1925, Mrs. Kelley was the daughter of the late Henry Grady and Clara Kitchens Smith. A devoted wife and mother, she was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard B. (Bill) Kelley; as well as her sisters and brothers.



Survivors include her children Margaret and Willard Langdon, Betty and Jim Bennett, Richard and Kay Kelley, Donna and Doug Grizzle, Ron and Kathy Kelley, Melinda and Gary Gailey, Mark and Nancy Kelley; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers in law and sisters in law Homer Junior and Evelyn Kelley and Howard and Rugina Kelley; brother-in-law Ray Smith, a number of nieces and nephews, many friends, and a loving church family.



Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Yellow Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Chris Gilbert, Rev. Robert Nix, and Rev. Kyle Savage will officiate. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
