Mrs. Carol Woods Grant, age 58, of Buford, GA passed away Monday, July 29, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her father, Merle Woods; and sister, Tresea Woods. She is survived by her husband of thirty years, Allen R. Grant, Buford, GA; sons, David Monroe, Cornelia, GA and Charles Monroe, Durand, MI; step-daughter, Patty Johnson, New Jersey; six grandchildren; mother, Donna Dwell Woods, Durand, MI; sisters, Mary Kallin, Durand, MI, Judy Dunbar, Lennon, MI and Linda Foster, Durand MI; brothers, Terry Woods, Rick Woods, and Henry Woods, all of Durand, MI; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Grant was born February 16, 1955 in Flint, MI. She was a 1973 graduate of Morrice Michigan High School and was employed with Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA. She was a former supervisor with Life Care Nursing Home in Lawrenceville, GA. She was a member of Open Door Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, GA.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Open Door Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, GA with Pastor Lee Benton officiating. Interment will follow at Open Door Baptist Church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
