Clara T. Chambers

Mrs. Clara T. Chambers, 94, of Flowery Branch, GA. passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013.

Born in Hall County, on March 29, 1919, her wish was to live in Hall County and die in Hall County, today her last wish was fulfilled. She married Eulis Chambers, (her child hood sweetheart) August 2, 1947 and they had 2 children.

She was the daughter of late DC (Dorsey) Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Bogus Thomas. She had 6 sisters and 1 brother and 1 brother who died as an infant. Her sisters were Margie Thomas, Maudie Thomas, Ruby Thomas Budrock, Hazel Thomas Tolley, Wilma Thomas Swafford, Virginia Thomas Bentley, brother, Hubert Moses Thomas.

She is survived by her sister, Virginia Thomas Bentley of Marietta, GA; daughter Alma Jean Smith, of Cornelia, GA; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eulis Chambers, son Bennie Chambers, sisters and brother listed above.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Interment will be at Dewberry Baptist Church #1 Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Monday, August 5, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
