Travis Latrell Bowen

Mr. Travis Latrell Bowen, age 32, Of Ellijay, Georgia who passed on Wednesday August 7th, 2013.

Travis was born on September 9, 1980 in Atlanta, Georgia. Travis was a Gilmer High School graduate , class of 1999. Following High School he attended Southern Polytech University in Marietta, GA. Following in the footsteps of his family he became a Master Barber. Travis was a member of the Stone Crest Baptist Church of Woodstock, member of the Mt. Zion Masonic Lodge #316 in Cumming, GA, the Yaarab Shrine and the Coosawattee Shrine Club in Ellijay. Travis also enjoyed working with the Gilmer County Volunteer Fire Department.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00pm on Sunday August 11, 2013 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with speaker Nick Moseley, family and friends officiating. Music and singing will be by Amanda Simmons. Masonic Graveside rites will follow in the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with Masonic rites performed by the Mt. Zion Lodge #316 of Cumming, GA. Interment will follow in the Jarrett Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Simmons, Brad Simmons, Justin Dover, Rich Batten and Tony Walker.

Travis is survived by his Mother, Brenda Moseley Smith of Canton, Georgia; Father, Kendall Bowen of Milton, Georgia; Grandmother, Ola Miller Bowen of Alpharetta, Georgia; Five Uncles, Four Aunts, Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to the Emory Division of Pulmonary Medicine, Office of Gift Records at 1762 Clifton Road NE, Suite 1400, Atlanta, Georgia 30322 in memory of Mr. Bowen.
