Dora Mae Woody Grizzle

Mrs. Dora Mae Woody Grizzle, age 73, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013.

Dora Mae was the daughter of the late Ray and Lounell Duff Woody, and was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County where she had retired from Fieldale Farms. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and special friend.

Mrs. Grizzle is survived by her children, Jessie Earl Grizzle, Dawsonville, GA; Dello and Leisha Grizzle, Murrayville, GA; Gail Ramey, Braselton, GA; Debra and Merl Posten, Dahlonega, GA; Gene and Linda Grizzle, Dahlonega, GA; Dora "Ty-Ty" and Todd Miller, Gainesville, GA; sisters, Carrie Lee Shope, Randy and Howard Green; best friends, Mary Lou and Fannie Mae; special aunt, Illa Mae Duff. 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Dora Mae are scheduled for 2PM Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Jimmy Wilbanks, Rev. Tommy Ross, and Rev. Marion Burnette will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Mount Hope cemetery in Dahlonega.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA from 6PM until 9PM on Thursday, August 15, all day on Friday, August 16, and 9AM until service time on Saturday, August 17.
