Jerry Wayne Blevins

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Jerry Wayne Blevins, 47, of Auburn who passed away early Thursday morning at the Barrow County Regional Medical Center in Winder.

Born in Atlanta, he was the son of Venice Smith Spears of Maysville and the late John Marshall Blevins. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Arlon Spears, a brother, Jimmy Dean Blevins, grandparents, Buford and Jimmie Smith and Charlie and Christine Blevins and a father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. Ray and Dorothy Hewatt. Jerry was the body shop manager for Hayes Chrysler in Oakwood and was a member of the Crossroads Worship Center Church of God in Commerce. Along with his mother, survivors include his wife of the residence, Jennifer Hewatt Blevins, daughters, Heather Nicole Blevins and Holly Elizabeth Blevins, both of Auburn, brothers, Jeffery (Jennifer) Blevins, Rodney (Debbie) Blevins and Terry (Sandy) Blevins, all of Alabama and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 17 at 2 PM from the Lula Worship Center with Pastor T. Gary Thompson, Rev. Nathan Hewatt and Rev. Jerry Hewatt officiating with interment following in the Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM.
