Edna Earl Wofford

Mrs. Edna Earl Wofford age 84 of Gainesville passed away on Thursday August 22, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday August 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with internment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Steve Fenlon and Reverend Edwin Taylor will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday August 24, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wofford was born on November 29, 1928 in Oakwood, Ga to the late H.L. Leckie and Katie Belle Stewart Leckie. She was a retired Cosmetologist, and was a member of Oakwood 1st Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, J.T. Wofford, and by a number of sisters.

Mrs. Wofford is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Lenny Dec of Braselton, son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Carole Wofford of Gainesville, grandsons, Stephen McDonald of Gainesville, and Brad Wofford of Gainesville, granddaughter, Amber McDonald of Oakwood, sister, Frances Puckett of Gainesville, brother, Larry Leckie of Flowery Branch, great- grandson, Trey Hufstetler of Oakwood, great-granddaughter, Destiny Powell of Oakwood, special care giver, Shirley McDonald, and Margie Patrick.
