Glenn T. 'Bud' Asherbranner

Funeral services for Glenn T. "Bud" Asherbranner, age 56, of Demorest will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Clarkesville Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Asherbranner died on Monday, August 26, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born on March 14, 1957 in Rabun County, Mr. Asherbranner was the son of Martha Gibson Asherbranner the late Grady Asherbranner. Mr. Asherbranner worked for the City of Clarkesville for 32 years where he was the department head over water works. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa. In addition to his father, Mr. Asherbranner is preceded in death by brother Jim Asherbranner, sisters Doris Scroggs and Lois Lovell.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years Sandra Miller Asherbranner of Demorest, mother Martha Gibson Asherbranner of Demorest, son and daughter in law Brian and Holly Asherbranner of Cleveland, son Brandon Asherbranner of Demorest, brother Billy Joe "Pete" Asherbranner of Demorest, sisters Joyce Shook of Lakemont and Jane Brown of Clayton, and grandchildren McKinley Jade Asherbranner, Brantley Thomas Asherbranner, and Bella Jayne Asherbranner.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
