Robert L. Timms

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 7, 2013 in the Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Robert Lee Timms, age 70, of Gainesville. Rev. Jeff Gailey and Rev. Bernice Collins will officiate. Interment will follow in Clemmons Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 11:00 a.m. To 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Timms passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013.



Mr. Timms was born in Carroll County to the late Charlie Timms and Minnie Belle Woodard. He was a Painting Contractor and was a was a member of Clermont Pentecostal Light House Church and had lived most of his life in Hall County. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Newberry Timms; sisters, Mary Gray and Linda Gail Hand.



Survivors included sons and daughters in law, Bobby Ray and Tracie Timms, Gillsville, Billy Jay and Edie Timms, Gainesville, David Lee and Nancy Greenway, Lula; daughters and sons in law, Wanda Lee and Fred Suggs, Gainesville, Ronda Annett and Butch Bennett, Gainesville, Sandy Ann and Seth Castro, Jefferson, Robin Michelle and David Smith, Gainesville; brothers, John Henry Timms, Gainesville, David Junior Timms, Jefferson, Charles Danny Timms, Carrollton, GA., Tommy Timms, Heard County; sisters, Jo Ann Eaton, South Carolina, Rev. Martha Williamson, Franklin, GA, Willie Mae Boyd, Lagrange, GA., Francis Dunlap, McDonough, GA.; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
