Lucille Stowers Peck

Mrs. Lucille Stowers Peck, 97, of Gainesville, GA., passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2013 following an extended illness.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, she was the daughter of the late Sylvia Charles and Lula Lathem Stowers, Sr. She was a teacher at High Hill School for two years and was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Peck; daughter and son in law, Mildred and Merritt Martin; sister, Ruby Nell Kemp.

She is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Martha and Rev. Clifford Allen, Louise and Winfred pointer; son and daughter in law, Jimmy and Carolyn Peck; brother and sister in law, S.C. and Imogene Stowers all of Gainesville; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Cool Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Rick Stone and Rev. Stan Peck will officiate. Interment will in Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Shane Jenkins and Rev. Chad Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
