Joyce Martin Anderson

Joyce Martin Anderson, age 77, of Murrayville (Lumpkin County) passed away on Friday September 6, 2013, at her home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Anderson was born on April 9, 1936 and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church #2.

She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Claudia Martin of the Shoal Creek Community in Cleveland.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ralph Anderson; sister and brother in law, Janet and Jack Dockery of Cleveland; nephews and their wives, David & Nancy Dockery and Kip & Karen Dockery, both of Cleveland; and great-nephews and niece, Joe Dockery, Jackson Dockery, Clay Dockery and Sarah Dockery. Also surviving are many family members, her church family, and a host of wonderful friends and neighbors.

Visitation will be at the Dahlonega Funeral Home from 2pm until 8pm on Sunday, September 8.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anderson will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church #2.

Rev. Stephen Gerrells, Rev. Les Fuller and Rev. Chris Anderson will be officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mount Zion #2 cemetery.
