Verne Edwin Wise

Verne Edwin Wise, age 68 of Gainesville, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2013 in Franklin, North Carolina from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 6 - 9 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Wise was born October 14, 1944 in Lawrence, Kansas to the late William Audrey Wise and Thelma Lou Harper Wise. He retired as the owner/operator of Ed Wise Heating & Air Conditioning Company. Ed was preceded in death of his parents, his brother, James Wise, his sister, Rita Mae West and his daughter, Sandra Faye Hankins.

Mr. Wise is survived by his wife, Lorraine Collins Wise of Gainesville, daughter & son- in-law, Belinda & Paul Gibbins of Gainesville, daughters, Jenny Falcon of Oakland, California, Wanda Lee Graessle of Lexington, Kentucky and Sarah Lorraine Hoopaugh of Baldwin, son, James Robert Hoopaugh, Jr. of Jefferson, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and special nephew, James Edwin Wise of Gainesville.
