Betty Ann Crawley Engram

Obituary Date: Friday, October 11, 2013

Mrs. Betty Ann Crawley Engram of Greenville, SC passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 surrounded by her family.

She was born December 13, 1930 to the late Joe Crawley and Ruby Caldwell Crawley in Griffin, Georgia. After moving to Toccoa, Georgia in 1985, she worked at Smith's Furniture. Betty enjoyed serving on numerous committees at First Baptist Church Toccoa. She moved to Greenville in 2011 and was a member of Faith Class Adult Women Sunday School at Taylors First Baptist Church. Betty was an avid Bridge card player and participated in several Bridge Clubs in both Toccoa and Greenville. She was a woman of faith, faithful to God, her husband, family and church. She was a loving wife, mother, and Nana and a loyal friend. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Melvin Engram in 2011.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol and her husband Tom Moeller of Taylors, SC; two grandchildren and their spouses, Bryan and Wendy Moeller of Charlotte, NC and Amy and Clem Rogers of Greenville, SC; three great-grandchildren, Abby and Liza Rogers, and Alexis Moeller; three sisters, Dot Jackson, Norma Whittington, and Gayle Shearouse all of Milner, GA; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 16 from 10:00 AM until noon.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 16 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church Toccoa with the Reverend David Ritcey and the Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Al Thomason, Brian Fulbright, Clayton Fulbright, Steven Caudell, Dale Twilley, Barclay Cox, Reeder Baskins and Buster Smith.

Donations may be made to the Benevolent Fund at First Baptist Church Toccoa, 475 E. Tugaloo Street, Toccoa, GA 30577 or Faith Class Adult Women's Sunday School Class at Taylors First Baptist Church 200 West Main Street, Taylors, SC 29687.

Entombment will follow in Stephens Memorial Mausoleum with Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Betty Crawley Engram.
