Vester "Leon" Autry

Mr. Vester "Leon" Autry 70 of Gainesville passed away October 27, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Autry was born June 2, 1943 in Greenwood, S.C. to the late Thomas & Ethel Dyer Autry. He served his Country in the United States Marines and was on the honor guard that guarded the route of President Kennedy's remains to the cemetery, and was of the Baptist Faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Garnett, Jeff and Don, daughter-in-law, Betty Jean Breazeale.

Survivors include, wife, Shirley Joyce Autry of Gainesville, son, Randy Breazeale of Georgia, son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Gail Breazeale of Gainesville, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sister, Velma Evans of Cleveland.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday October 29, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Maitlyn Laforce will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday October 28, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
