Sandra (Sandy) Overbeck

Sandra (Sandy) Overbeck, 78, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on October 29, 2013.


She was preceded in death by husband of twenty eight years, Donald Overbeck, parents, William and Elva Pitts Rutledge, sister, Elva Jo O'Shields. She is survived by her children, Susan Hazy and husband Howard Nakagawa, Penngrove, CA; Scott and Beth Hazy, Atlanta, GA; Jeff and Carol Hazy, Rockford, MI; Jennifer and Stu Daly, Alpharetta, GA; step-children, Pam and Eddie Pafford, Norcross, GA; Carol Cranford, Suwanee, GA; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister, Ann Rutledge, Roseville, CA. Mrs. Overbeck was born October 6, 1935 in O'Lean New York. She was a 1953 graduate of Bass High School in Atlanta, and attended college at the University of Georgia. She was a retired sales representative for Mattel Toy Company after twenty-five years of service. She was a volunteer of Red Cross, Gainesville Chapter and an active participant in Parkinson Support Group. She was an avid bowler and card player.

Memorial service will be 10:00 am. Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Bridges officiating.
